Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
I lock my computer for 12 hours and when i unlock it there is no icons at Desktop. And i was not able to refresh it neither to modify the properties of it ( using the mouse right button). I restart the xorg with <ctrl> <alt> <backspace>, but the desktop still was not working. In a terminal i try to run Nautilus, but got no answer ( neither an error). Finally i run the command ps aux, and was able to find a job called nautilus --no-desktop. After killing this job and run Nautilus, the Desktop icons works fine.

Thanks for your bug report. Which version of Ubuntu and nautilus do you use? Can you try to get a backtrace of nautilus the next time it hangs?
gdb -p $(pidof nautilus)

should be enough - and copy that in a comment on the bug.
Also, if you manage to find something interesting in .xsession-errors, that might help also.
