Deinstalling an application with launcher entry leaves orphaned shortcut

can you attach a video or a screenshot? for me the launcher icon is removed as one would expect.

wait nevermind. i just seemed to have missed it before. there is definitely a ? icon.

I am on 12.04.1 LTS and the crappy firefox rapid deployment channel messed the update one more time.
Thus I uninstalled firefox to get the ESR version but now there is this orphaned firefox icon in the launcher I can not get rid of.
I read above that the issue should be fixed but I still have the problem.
