The packages provided at http://www.getdemocracy.com/downloads/ubuntu.php do actually work (and also have a .desktop file which is also missing).

After the transition to Python 2.5 these days you can't use the official packages (frm getdemocracy.com) anymore.

That means there is currently no way to install a working Democracy player on feisty exept from source.
