Thanks for your report. Your idea might get more attention and have
the possibility of being implemented if you would submit a
specification for this.

You should first check whether it already exists at the Ubuntu specs
page (https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+specs) in Launchpad. If
that is the case, feel free to contact the drafter of that spec about
your comments/suggestions. Otherwise you can start writing a spec
following the steps described in
        https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FeatureSpecifications.

I've added the Upstream bug I've created to this page to save opening up another bug for it.

Hi,

In the latest and greatest release of ubuntu (yet), rhythmbox in Jaunty still has no way of submitting track names to FreeDB or MusicBrainz. I've resorted to installing Sound Juicer from the repos to do just that. Please do consider this feature in Rhythmbox.

Fixed? 9 months later and it still looks extremely broken to me.
Ubuntu 11.04. Loaded a disk not in database. Typed in all the artist/track information. Hit submit to musicbrainz. Redirected my webrowser to musicbrainz submit page. Had to verify my email (in case this excited any bugs). NONE of the information I had typed in, or was derived from the disk, was there. All it had was the name of the artist for the disk and presumably the disk signature. No album title, No genre, no tracklist titles, no track length. Not acceptable.
