Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
The Ubuntu 6.10 (AMD64) installer crashed. I had adjusted the boot param, adding "acpi=force irqpoll" in order to get around a failure to recognize my hard drive, if that affects anything.

There are a *lot* of "unexpected IRQ trap at vector b0" messages there, followed by some squashfs errors just before grub-installer fell over. Normally this indicates a faulty/dirty CD or CD drive, but in the circumstances I'm reassigning it over to the kernel so that the kernel team can have a look and see if the CD-ROM driver is at fault here.
