installer fails to launch in Feisty Herd 1 on amd64

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Trying to install amd64 Feisty Herd 1. Executing the installer from the console gives this:

I booted with another keyboard and mouse but it didn't seem to make a difference.

This was fixed in the relevant Python library packages just before Herd 1, but the fix didn't quite make it in for (only) amd64. Try later builds.
