Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-center

Steps to reproduce:

1) Launch Ubuntu Live CD (With Unity compatible hardware? I didn't test if this is related to unity but I'd assume not.)
2) Launch Software Center
3) Type "flash" in search
4) Select Adobe Flash Plugin
5) Hit Install

Expected results:
The package "flashplugin-installer" should be installed (with possibly one or more dialogs asking to enable and update repository choices).

Actual results:
An error message saying that library "ia32-libs" is required but will not be installed. No explanation is provided why the library will not be installed.

Additional information:
The Software Center is clever enough to tell that "Multiverse" is required for flash plugin. After that it asks for a permission to "Repair" the repository (when it really means that it needs to update repository data). However, Software Center is not clever enough to notice that at least one dependency of the package to be installed requires "Universe" repository and as a result, the installation fails with the not-so-clear error message. If I enable "Universe" in the software sources, the Software Center is able to install Adobe Flash plugin.

Software Center should automatically enable Universe repository and allow installing the package.

(Perhaps Ubuntu should always automatically enable Universe when Multiverse is enabled?)
