Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

All images in an openoffice presentation get tinted a blue colour when we do the "slideshow" while editing the presentation images appear as normal.

openoffice 2.0.4-0ubuntu4

could be related to bug 59422 as I also have an ATI radeon (9600)

This has been resolved! The bug only occurs when "use hardware acceleration" is enabled in:

Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice.org -> View

Under "Graphics Output"

Working fine once I disable hardware acceleration.

Note that this bug should not be closed, since its still a bug. OO (now 2.2) slide transitions are murderously slow when acceleration is turned off. This does need to be resolved eventually.

Are these bugs automatically also forwarded to OO developers?

Reopening this since it's still an issue. Unfortunately I can't reproduce it or confirm it.

No, because many bugs are specific to OOo on Ubuntu. However, there is a similar bug report on their tracker here though: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=66538

According to upstream it may be a bug with the X server. Can you try updating to Ubuntu 7.10 and let me know if the problem still exists for you?

Thanks,

I'll update the machine to gutsy in the next weeks.

I've not done it already since I have a presentation to do on Nov 8th,
and saw some issues with RrandR / xinerama in gutsy and I don't want to
break my projector output.

I'll post the results once I've done the update.

I'm experiencing the same problem, which goes away disabling hardware acceleration in the options panel. I'm using OpenOffice Impress 2.2.0 (Ubuntu Feisty) on a PPC machine with an ATI FireGL Mobility T2e.

Fix Released since it is apparently due at least in part to buggy hardware drivers.
