Thanks for report - this bug was already reported, therefore we will close it as duplicate.
Can you just confirm that you had non-Linux partitions on the disk that you wanted to install?

HI Luka!

I did not have any partitions linux or non-linux on my HD. in other
words, the bug happens with the disk completely empty of data and
partitions.

Best regards

Hi,

As Henrik, I haven't got any non-linux partitions:

Here's my /etc/fstab

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# /dev/hda1
UUID=a4f499e5-52e5-413f-9e96-323f5ee720e5 / ext3
defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
# /dev/hda2
UUID=53f063eb-abc5-44f4-b149-c22d71863b6c /home ext3 defaults
0 2
# /dev/hda3
UUID=b5acb8f2-1832-4c78-bfd5-5486f228474a none swap sw
0 0
/dev/hdb /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0

hda1 is / for my kubuntu installation,
hda2 is /home
hda3 is swap

I have /hda4 (non visible here) wich is an extended partition in ext3 for
another linux installation

Regards
Cédric

Thanks for reply and for my bad english (I'm italian). ;)

Yes, in first time I've tried to cancel a pre-installed NTFS but the
install give me the error reported; then I have deleted the NTFS
partition by the GNU utility in live CD and I've tried to install in the
(now) blank disk. The result was be the same.

Simone.
