The installer stops with an error "Unable to install the selected kernel"

I've added debconf-i18n to the minimal seed, which I think ought to take care of this, but I'm not sure and will need to recheck tomorrow.

An error was returned while trying to install the kernel into the target system

kernel package: linux-generic

I had to abort the installation of oneiric-alternate-i386 kubuntu daily build (June 16/2011) at the step of "installing the base system".

The latest alternate passes the kernel installation step with this fix. I'm closing this report.

Im new to this and dont exactly understand what the fix was. I have this issue with the current alt install. Please help. Thank you.
