Xubuntu: default screensaver should be black screen, not random

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

With so many different video cards requireing hardware drivers, this could benefit Xubuntu.

I would add that it should not only blank screen, but also turn display (backlight) off. Command "xset dpms force off" does the trick, but this should be combined with blanking whenever blanking is done.

This bug was fixed in the package xubuntu-default-settings - 12.04.0
