Non-ascii characters rendered improperly

Bug Description

Binary package hint: wmii

When using wmii, if the title bar of an app contains non-ascii characters (ex: "à", "é", etc), they'll not be displayed correctly (with the character turned into Äsomething, like in a utf8-rendered-as-iso-8859-1 case), while wmii semms to support UTF-8.

I tried the method in the wmii FAQ ( http://wmii.suckless.org/view.sh/faq ) but it had no effect (and that's a hack).

Thanks for reporting this. Could you tell us which version of Ubuntu you are using? This bug looks a lot like the one reported in Debian at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=394781, which would have been present in edgy but fixed in feisty.

Hello,

It was indeed on an Ubuntu Edgy box. I'm on a trip right now
(unfortunately I can't try the fix from Debian) but I'll test Feisty as
soon as possible. Well, good news if it's fixed!

Cheers,
MilkaJinka
