yeah sorry should have done that.
actually the problem was resolved on my 2nd try to install, when i choose
the 2nd option "format whole disk" on the install.
when it crashed i used the first option and put the slider up to 100%....

now i just have to work out my dual-boot problems.....

Can you please take a look in /var/log/installer and check whether there are any logfiles there?

Since he reinstalled from scratch a second time he probably no longer has the relevant log file. Closing bug.
