Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Every time I suspend my laptop to RAM, it works, but when I come back I find gnome-power-manager crashed.

Can I do anything to get more useful information ?

I bet that this is fixed by this change:

2007-01-28 Richard Hughes <email address hidden>

       * src/gpm-button.c: (gpm_button_is_lid_closed):
       * src/gpm-srv-backlight.c: (gpm_srv_backlight_init):
       Fix a difficult-to-find crasher which would only happen sometimes when
       the session became idle on a laptop without a backlight.

Oliver, maybe this should be backported? Although I suppose it'll be in the next GNOME beta.

Incidentally, to support this, the trace with gnome-power-manager debug symbols is:

Core was generated by `gnome-power-manager --no-daemon'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
