This seems very similar to https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/61912.

But not exactly. Would you say it's a dupe?

Hi again,

I didn't see this before I replied last time. A 'dupe' is a duplicate,
in other words if it's already been reported.

I was just asking some of the experienced bug helpers whether they
thought it was a duplicate or not.

Cheers,

Matt

Matt: no, it's an entirely different problem, and one which I don't really understand yet.

This is essentially a nUbuntu bug. They don't preinstall the console-setup package on the live CD, which Ubiquity needs. Please report this to them if they don't have a more recent version available.
