Bug Description
CD Image: feisty-
CPU: AMD Athlon64 3400+
Text mode installation takes a long time continuing after the first stage of hardware detection. It would simply show aa blue screen with only the grey bar at the bottom for a couple of minutes. Then it takes another long period of time at the beginning of the second stage of hw detection. I dont know about the rest because it was taking so long I cut off installation.
I found that /var/log/syslog was absolutely flooded with "kernel: not found" messages after the first hardware detection step.
