Bug Description

The power indicator should remember the state of "Show Time in Menu Bar", so users don't need to keep clicking it each time they login. People who enable it are more likely to want it always enabled than to only want it on once.

---------------
indicator-power (0.7-0ubuntu1) oneiric; urgency=low

  * New upstream release.
    - Use gsettings to store the status of "Show time in Menu Bar"
      option (LP: #829853)
    - Follow standard alignment of icons in menus (LP: #829697)
    - Do not use a space before an ellipsis at the end of a string.
  * debian/control
    - Added build depends for libglib2.0-dev
  * data/org.ubuntu.indicator-power.gschema.xml.in
    - cherry pick typo fix from trunk

I'm running an up to date install of Ubuntu 11.10 x86-64 (Oneiric Ocelot) and indicator-power still fails to remember my preference vis. display of battery time within the indicator panel. My preference is to not show time, but every time I restart my session or panel (wingpanel) the time remaining (or else 'unknown') is displayed. I've checked and double checked and the appropriate dconf settings are in place.

Should I file as another, separate bug, or reopen this supposedly 'fixed' bug?
