Gosh! it has been deleted :-/ I will try to reproduce this bug again.

By the way, if the crash file is malformed could apport-retrace exit
gracefully instead of crashing ?

Since apport-retrace is mainly a developer tool, and will soon be replaced by an automatic service anyway, I didn't bother to invest too much effort to making it 'beautiful'. Of course I could just ignore such errors, but this might hide problems, and I rather get informed about such problems and fix their root cause.

No further information for a month, so I close this for now. I will reopen once the original crash report that caused this problem is available (or, alternatively, a recipe how to reproduce it). Thank you!
