 I have first posted this at
news://support-forums.novell.com/novell.support.ximian.evolution,
but I’ve noticed things there go unresponded for several days. Then I
tried evolution-general, and people there directed me to post it here.

      I am running a mix of Debian testing, unstable and Gnome 2.8
from experimental.

     I was already using Evolution before, and my ~/evolution has 112
MiB. When first running Evolution 2, it started migrating to
~/.evolution, but the migration progress status screen doesn’t refresh
even after several hours. Tried already restarting the process to no
avail.

 Any tips, or should I downgrade to the version in Debian
testing?

 I got the following output before the freeze, with
CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG=1:

Upstream has requested a copy of the 1.4 ~/.evolution dir; can someone send one
which exhibits the problem?

I guess that means it only happens with some migrations, and not all, in which
case it may not be RC for Warty.

Hi,

I encountered the same problem. I upgraded, and evolution started to
migrate my folders, and freezed. Now it freezes every time I try to
start.

I successfully updated on another box (the one I am writing this mail
from). The difference is that I used maildir on the box where evolution
freezes.

Sorry, it really annoys me that this version was uploaded to unstable
with this bug still open.

I rebooted and made an upgrade (but evolution wasn't upgraded), and now
it works. Strange.
