Bug Description

Binary package hint: eclipse

I have found a 100% reproducible crash in Eclipse on Edgy when opening the file lang/langmapping.php in tikiwiki. This file contains many extended characters from different languages including Chinese, Arabic and Farsi.

I have the phpeclipse extension installed and will also report this problem there, although I suspect this to be a core Eclipse character encoding issue.

$ apt-cache policy eclipse
eclipse:
  Installed: 3.2.1-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.2.1-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.2.1-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com edgy/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

phpeclipse is version 1.1.8

Crash output:

It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
