no way to jump to a bug from frontpage of beta UI

Bug Description
So, whenever someone mentions "LP bug #nnnnnn" in an IRC channel or email or whatever, my previous workflow was:
o Go to http://
o Cut'n'paste the #nnnnn into the convenient 'Jump to bug report' input box
So I tried this with beta, and failed entirely. I go to the same page on beta, and I get two input boxes on my screen, one 'Search bug reports' and one very confusing box, which I assume is to limit the search by project. Ok, so I enter, '#nnnnn', search spins for a while and then dumps me back to the same page. Ok maybe kiko's #-stripping fix got lost, try 'nnnnn'. Nope, same result. Um, help?
