cant launch pitvi

Bug Description

installed pitvi with add/remove in ubuntu 6.10. clicking on app icon produces "starting pitvi video editor" taskbar pane but then the program doesnt come up.

I can get it to 1/2 work if I launch it in a terminal window with pitivi --sync

I guess it just isnt ready yet
