Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Comes up with a bunch of lines saying "scsi" etc, and I can't edit the partition arrangement. Selected use whole drive, still could not suggest a scheme that worked. Can't paste the output, only machine at the moment.

I'm sorry that it's difficult for you to provide more information, but I'm afraid I cannot do anything with this bug report without more information (/var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman from the installer). You can start a browser in the live session in order to provide this.

I'm afraid that there is nothing I can do about this without the requested log files. If you (the original reporter) can reproduce this bug with a current release and can get me the log files, feel free to reopen this bug. (Anyone else reading this who believes they have a similar problem should open a new bug instead.)

Several people have tested on systems with existing NTFS partitions since your report, and I've fixed a number of related issues. The main one here is bug 89004 - there's a good chance that this was in fact another instance of that.
