Bug Description

Binary package hint: xubuntu-docs

In the "adding, removing and updating . . . " portion of the desktop guide, there's a minor typo. The text on this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/desktopguide/C/add-applications.html says, ""In case you do not know the name of the package, choose section in the lower left part of the window, choose the appropriate category, and find the package name in the list."

"choose section" should be "choose sections". (plural)

I don't agree, only one section can be chosen. It is not possible to "choose sections", even if you hold CTRL down and click on multiple sections. Rejecting this bug.

The button is labelled "Choose Sections," though. That is the actual label
on the button itself. Check it out if you don't believe me.

The text on the button I have in Synaptic, under the list of actual sections, is called 'Sections' because it is a list of sections. But that's not relevant.

The action required of the user is still to choose a section. It is still not possible in Synaptic to select several sections(pl).

But:

If you interpret the instructions to mean that they should press the button marked 'Sections' and then select the category, then you're right. The standard in Ubuntu-doc for writing that is :

"In case you do not know the name of the package, choose 'Sections' in the lower left part of the window, choose the appropriate category, and find the package name in the list."
