Bug Description
Ubuntu 6.10 Release
Step 1) Clicked setup and install from Ubuntu CD boot splash screen.
Step 2) Did the little "loading lines" at the top of the splash screen...
Step 3) This message appeared:
"[17179632.996000] hw_random: cannot enable RNG, aborting..."

Everything still booted up from the preseed cd, but still wanted to let it be known that the error occured on my system...

I think this is harmless (it's just the kernel notifying you that it can't enable a hardware randomness generator). It has nothing to do with the installer and won't affect its operation in any way.
