Binary package hint: emacs-snapshot
I had to manually install w3m-el and quack-el to get emacs-snapshot-gtk to install.
Before installing w3m-el and quack-el:
$ sudo aptitude install emacs-snapshot-gtk

I can guarantee that emacs-snapshot does not need to depend on either w3m-el or quack-el.
