The glancerc file is mentioned on the mailing list https://lists.launchpad.net/openstack/msg04613.html but not documented in the Glance documentation.

There's no such thing as glancerc. That's just what the poster called his local runtime environment variables file...

The authentication stuff, including runtime env variable files, is documented here:

Could you verify that those docs fulfill this bug and if so, mark it fixed?

Yep, I consider the creds documented now. I use that page a lot too. :)
