Use translations from Launchpad

Bug Description

I noticed that you are not using translations from Launchpad. Do not be confused by the fact that Launchpad corrently has a bug (lp:899388) that won't update translation statistics and it incorrectly show misleading red bars, as if the program was not translated. (For example, the Spanish translation is complete from weeks ago and it is still shown in Launchpad as empty)

Please use Launchpad translations, they have better quality (at least in Spanish).

I just wanted to add, that I suggested some new translations for the German Translations, but they were ignored up to now. Maybe this is connected to the bug reported here.

When I tested the Swedish translation (located in /usr/share/locale/sv/LC_MESSAGES/myunity.mo) I got English in the UI.

(tested with version 3.0.0-0ubuntu1 from the PPA)

Quite easy to fix, the application is looking for translations called "messages.mo". That's the problem

strace reveals:
open("/usr/share/locale/sv/LC_MESSAGES/messages.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)

German translation has been made in a night session with the best imaginable support from the Localization Team (in order 2 show respect to the work of the MyUnity-Team). It's not refleceted in the currently available package 3.1.3-0ubuntu1! Was all the work in vain, heading the issueing date of Precise? Will this translation be included in the Final?

Or

is it the same error like with Synaptic Master-bug 978738 (priority hig - in progress) ?

Would be really likeable to make translations arrive in 12.04.3 planned for Aug.2013.

What can community do to make this happen?
