Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I was using OpenOffice.org 2.0 Spreadsheet to edit my original ms spreadsheet ( MS office 2003 format) and I was able to save it to desktop with a password.

I did this for a test trial. So I was able to open it after I saved it and everything looked fine.

Now I really started working on it, and I spent almost an hour entering the data, saved it to desktop with password option, which I had to enter it twice to match.

But I couldn't open it afterwards at all ! What's going on?

My ubuntu is edgy 6.10, which I installed 3/11/07 with all the fix packages installed.

Thanks.

Sheila

Can you please try entering your password again with the caps lock on to see if perhaps it was enabled when you entered the password the first time?

Dear:

I've tried 10 different ways, with cap, space, etc. Remember, when I saved it, I had to enter it twice to match.

So the probability of me making the mistake is very low.

Thanks.

It was my mistake. When I entered the password, I shifted one digit on the keyboard, with my left index finger on G instead on F, so the password is shifted right by one position.

Sorry and please close the case.
