could you get a log with "GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 GST_DEBUG=5 totem &>log" and attach it to the bug?

the log is not correct, you tried to run it with sudo apparently, the commands need to go after the environment variables though

are you sure you used that command? the log has no gstreamer debug line

It is an old joke about method acting -- totem -- movies -- Hollywood, ah,
never mind

Which reminds of another old joke -- the operation was a success,
unfortunately the patient died.

I c&p the commands as you provided them, the last time without using sudo.
There were two logs, gslog and tlog, because there were two bug reports,
perhaps they were mixed up?

gotcha, jokes are not as easy to understand when they are not in your native language ;) I'm not sure about the log. If you run "GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 GST_DEBUG=5 totem" do you have lot of things printed on the command line?

Not a lot, after running "GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 GST_DEBUG=5 totem" I get :

ALSA lib confmisc.c:670:(snd_func_card_driver) cannot find card '0'

returned error: No such device

error: No such device
ALSA lib conf.c:3968:(snd_config_expand) Evaluate error: No such device
ALSA lib pcm.c:2145:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default

ALSA lib problems seem to be occur a lot

The Totem video player appears, yet would seem to be in some endless loop. I
must Force Quit to stop it.

I hope this helps.
