Bug Description

Please remove ndiswrapper-1.1 from archives. The reasons are stated below:

- ndiswrapper-1.1 provides ndiswrapper-utils. The name suggests that it is a metapackage and installs the latest version of ndiswrapper, which is not right, it installs version 1.1.
- ndiswrapper-1.1 does not work on Feisty (and did not on Edgy)
- there is already a newer version in the archives, which works, namelyndiswrapper-utils-1.9 provided by the source package ndiswrapper

This would make ndisgtk uninstallable, since this depends on ndiswrapper-utils. Can this package be made to work with the newer ndiswrapper package?

We could change the build dependencies to ndiswrapper-utils-1.9. Afaik, the command line syntax has not been changed but I will test this.

ndisgtk is currently installable but unusable when having only ndiswrapper-utils-1.1 installed as this does not work.

Using ndiswrapper-gtk with a newer version of ndiswrapper-utils-* does not work completly.

It is possible to install the drivers, but the listing in the gui does not work.

This may be caused by new output of ndiswrapper -l:

installed drivers:
se4501d driver installed, hardware (083A:4521) present

The (083A:4521) did not appear in older versions as far as I remember.

Diff in bug 45909 fixes both issues.

The "drivers not shown" was even an issue in Feisty, but should be fixed now.
