Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

On feisty fawn, when mounting /dev/hda1 ntfs partition with ntfs-3g, when trying to open the partition, it causes nautilus to crash, though the partition is available and can open other partitions through nautilus i.e. raid partition and /dev/hda5 all mounted with ntfs-3g.

Furthermore the partitions /dev/hda1 and /dev/hda5 are not showing on the desktop, though raid partitions are. All mount info is inc. in fstab, listed below:

Thanks for your bug report. Is this reproducible? Can you get a valgrind log of this? http://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind

Hi Daniel

thanks for following up. The crash was due to a symbolic link within the
mounted partition. i.e. /media/WinXP-1/WinXP-1 -> /media/WinXP-1
When opening the partition in question, nautilus would crash. Upon
deleting the symbolic link, I could open the partition without problem.

Do you want me to recreate the problem and install Valgrind?

Regards,
Tim

Could you try if you still get the bug? The new nautilus version fixes some similar bug
