Bug Description

This is a semi-automatic report based on the latest archive rebuild results [1].
Apologies if it reaches you in error.

Excerpt from the buildlog:

checking whether i686-linux-gnu-gcc accepts -g... (cached) yes
checking for i686-linux-gnu-gcc option to accept ISO C89... (cached) none needed
checking dependency style of i686-linux-gnu-gcc... (cached) gcc3
checking for an ANSI C-conforming const... yes
checking for size_t... yes
checking for i686-linux-gnu-pkg-config... no
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
checking for SCIM... yes
checking for SCIM_GTKUTILS... yes
checking for CHEWING... configure: error: Package requirements (chewing = 0.3.2) were not met:

Requested 'chewing = 0.3.2' but version of Chewing is 0.3.3

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables CHEWING_CFLAGS
and CHEWING_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

Thanks Marcin. Note that the bug's status was "In Progress", usually meaning someone was already working on the issue. (In this case, me)

I will sponsor your diff if you:

1. Add a (LP: #935435) to changelog in order to autoclose this report
2. Add DEP3 headers to your patch. (http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep3/)

Cheers, Andreas
