console-setup and ubuntu-minimal report configuration errors during apt-get upgrades

Bug Description

During recent upgrades, the following messages appear during or after the upgrade is complete:

Setting up console-setup (1.13ubuntu9) ...
dpkg: error processing console-setup (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 20
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of ubuntu-minimal:
ubuntu-minimal depends on console-setup; however:
Package console-setup is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing ubuntu-minimal (--configure):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

The rest of the updates appear to be applied successfully. This occurs with apt-get from the console and any application front end (Adept and Synaptic).

Brian,

Sorry, I meant to add that to the report.

Kubuntu Feisty Herd 4.

I installed it in early February, and I've had a large number of
upgrades/updates since, so it's likely at the Herd 5 level at this point.

Let me know if I can provide any more information.

I'm on Kubuntu Feisty as well. Upgrading reports error 20 in console-setup.postinst. Attaching strace output. This is extremely annoying, and confuses the heck out of adept updater, which just says there was an error upgrading.

This was happening a lot in Kubuntu Feisty, but I'm on Gutsy Gibbon and it's still doing this. I don't know, but I think it's Kubuntu-only.
