Bug Description

Expected wireless device to work, instead it failed
broken in 12.04 (worked in 11.04, 11.10)

The kernel in Precise requires a new firmware file - it's available at http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/carl9170#Firmware_binary

This bug was fixed in the package linux-firmware - 1.71

  * Update carl9170 to 1.9.4
    Note that this version only works with 3.1 and newer kernels.
