Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
Herd 5 Feisty Release 3/19/07
Selecting Check CD from ISOlinux menu gives
check sum error (after about 3-5 minutes) i.e. after
system has run thru checksums in md5sums.txt
loop mounted cd and extracted file names from md5 sums file
and ran against files in livecd directory and sure enough
firefox, thunderbird and some scribus function, all three (and
possibly a fourth) are in
the md5 sums file but do not exist in the Live CD area on the
CD.
No biggie, since it is just addon programs. They were probably
just overlooked in the Load before burning the CD and may catch
up on 3/20/07, but you never know

They really are there; I checked the image you quoted on the server just to be sure. Looks like your download went wrong.
md5sum.txt is generated right near the end of CD image generation, *after* putting all the files on the disk - there's basically no possibility that files could be in md5sum.txt and yet be "overlooked" from the image itself. It's much more likely that your download failed somewhere.
