Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

During the latest update the packages downloaded fine but, during the installation of the downloaded updates Synaptic crashed. I was running Firefox in multiple tabs and several windows. I am running Feisty 5 on a Dell Inspiron 5000e.

Thanks for your bug report. The crash looks like a memory corruption. Could you try to get a valgrind log for it (you can follow the instructions from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind for that)?

I have been unable to recreate the crash. I will continue to test and will
provide the logs when it re-occurs. Thanks!

I can't get updates
Get the following message
