Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open myunity
2. select the Theme tab
3. change the icons (the icons change, etc, etc, automagically)

Now there is no visible way of returning to the original Ubuntu icons. Furthermore, the only way to look for it is to try each theme (just selecting it does the trick, *even* if you are just trying to scroll down with the mouse)

Furthermore, selecting 'Default' causes the app-complete indicator to vanish.

I have not been able to reproduce your bug. Clicking "default settings" (in the gray bar just below the menu bar, over the MyUnity logos) immediately restored the original Ubuntu icons. Mind give it a try and see if this is enough, in your opinion, to close the bug?

Yes, it does correct. It would be nice if the 'Default setting' would look more like a button (or an actionable thingy), though.

Your call to close, or to make it more visible.

Thank you for your followup.
I definitely agree with you: it looks like a useless text label rather than a very useful button.
Anyway, speaking with my Ubuntu Developer hat on, I would not like to fix the issue in Ubuntu. Instead, speaking with my MyUnity hat on, I would like to see it fixed (or at least further discussed) in MyUnity itself. Therefore, I'm closing this bug now, and forwarding upstream.

---------------
myunity (3.1.3-0ubuntu1) precise; urgency=low

  * New upstream bugfix-only release:
    + Fix blurred MyUnity icon.
    + Fix issue with quicklinks duplicate entry.
    + "Default Settings" button is now more visible. (LP: #965304)
  * patches/svg_install.patch: add to fix FTBFS due to myunity.svg not
    properly installed by upstream Makefile.
  * patches/series: add accordingly.
