Translation PO file uploads.

maybe this should be set up with automatic import from the git repo instead of manually uploading the .po file
is this something only the launchpad admin can do?

I don't think it can be automatically imported from the git repo.
I am just an ordinary user. For me, I did not find anywhere to upload the
.po file.

Bug description:
  So far there is not translation available on the translation page
https://translations.launchpad.net/horizon.
  However, I found that within horizon project there have been
translations of PO files for a few languages. For our community's good, I
strongly recommend that these PO files should be uploaded to the
translation page and make it public for people to do it.

It is possible that the .po file can be imported automatically. I am
afraid that this should be done by the admins of this horizon project.
For me, I could not find the settings, Import template files as stated
aboved.

As I know, the right to upload po file is only openned to project maintainers. The uploading can be done automatically from Biazaar repository.

Hi all, the Horizon community is dedicated to enabling as many translations as possible, and providing good tools to do so. The reason that we don't use Launchpad translations is because of its poor integration with Django, which has its own system to deal with translations.

We are open to suggestions about how to improve the process, but so far I don't know of a good way to integrate Django and Launchpad translations.

Translation is a huge priority for me and for the Horizon team and (increasingly) for OpenStack as a whole.

We are moving towards using Transifex for shared translation management for all of OpenStack, and there will be much progress made on making this clearer with this blueprint (https://blueprints.launchpad.net/horizon/+spec/translation-documentation) next milestone.
