Bug Description

I am very new to Linux and I like Ubuntu and will try my best helping you to improve your product. I have a little programming experience (VB and SQL) and with MsWin, so I am not totally hopeless. I am a normal user, not a technician. Glad to be be of help with userproblems.

Here are some problems I have experienced with the beta 07.04.
1.The first characther when typing the username will not register on the first attempt. I have to retype the character, then it works.
2.I am very disappointed that your foo2zjs printer driver for HP LaserJet 1018 does not work at all. Did not work in 06.10 either. The driver available on http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com works fine for your version 06.10 but I have problem install it in 07.04. PLEASE, correct your own driver and make it function properly.
3.I have installed Clam Tk Virus Scanner but cannot get the definition files to update. When trying to update signature files I get the message: ”You must be root to install updates”. I have no idea how to do this. If you have instructions, please sent me.
4.I want to use the Linux version of Skype. How do I install it and get it to work?

Regards,

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your report would get better attention if you were to submit each bug individually as they deal with different packages and parts of the distribution. Which bug would you like this report to be about? Thanks in advance.

As indicated by Brian it is better to report each problem as a seperate bug report.
Issue 1 and 2 qualify as bug reports. Issue 3 and 4 are no bugs but support questions, please asks these on https://answers.launchpad.net or on the ubuntu forums.

I'm closing this bug report since you have reported issue 2 as bug #99064 again.
Feel free to open a separate bug report for issue 1.
