Bug Description

Your foo2zjs printer driver for HP LaserJet 1018 does not work at all. Did not work in 06.10 either. The driver available on http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com works fine on both 06.10 and 07.04. PLEASE, correct your own driver and make it function properly.

This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You probably need to install the firmware for your LaserJet 1018 printer as described in bug #96454.

It appears that with the recent update HP LaserJet 1018 now works ok.

Hi there,
A strange thing happened for me. At first the foo2zjs driver recommended by 7.04 worked fine.
After a few days i was unable to print anything.
In the meantime i had the automated system updates applied and installed.
When trying to save the sihp 1018.dl in the foozjs firmware folder i was denied access.
Current status: i cant use my HP laserjet 1018 for printing in ubuntu 7.04 beta
Hope it can be solved once the beat release goes stable.
