Cappella is a simple and intuitive media player which is being developed with Ubuntu in mind and is being developed in Python.
To test Cappella you can install it from the Daily PPA:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cappella-
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install cappella
Please note that this is PPA is from an unstable branch and is not designed for end-users.
