Chipmunk Backup reads the contents of a directory, maintains a number of compressed and encrypted backups, created as necessary, and rsyncs them to another location.
Chipmunk Backup maintains a configurable number of full backups because space is cheap. It rsyncs them to a remote location because it's purpose is to do offsite backups. It encrypts them because you want to keep your stuff private.
CB is written in PLT Scheme 4.1. It additionally requires rsync and GnuPG.
