Bug Description

As discussed on IRC last week:

Colin, Mark mentioned that you were involved in the discussions involving the trademark issues for Firefox. Can you confirm that everything is OK there, as far as Ubuntu using the Firefox name?

Err, was I? I'm not sure where Mark got that idea - I don't remember being involved, and I certainly haven't remotely kept up with the current state of affairs there.

It seems as if a build can't be shipped as Firefox if it contains patches which are not reviewed by the Mozilla team.

Is Ubuntu going to try and get their patches approved by the Mozilla Foundation in order to keep the right to use the Firefox name, or are you going to follow Debian on this?
