Bug Description

racoon 0.6.4 cannot be configured as roadwarrior with a target network 0/0. See this bug report :
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=341398

Upgrading to 0.6.5 will allow this kind of setup.

I can confirm that this is a problem. I upgraded from Badger yesterday and my VPNs no longer work. Symptoms the same as in the above Debian bug report.

Thanks for the bug report. You can have a look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UpstreamVersionFreeze if you want to ask for an UpstreamVersionFreeze exception for a package in main.

I removed racoon and installed racoon_0.6-1ubuntu1.1 from Breezy. Problems did not ocurr. I will request an freeze exception since this is a show stopper for regular VPN use.(host to network tunnel).

Matt,

I merged the package and tested that a basic IPsec setup with ipsec-tools still works flawlessly. I tried to test racoon, but I have never managed to set it up properly. If you want, I can spend more time with that to figure out how it can be convinced to actually work.

The current version is in Debian for a while (also in testing) without any RC bugs, so it shouldn't be too risky to upgrade.

Just upgraded from racoon_0.6-1ubuntu1.1 to new version. A test VPN now negotiates successfully. Thanks. Will do more testing later to verify that all previously functional VPNs still work.
