Pbuilding the dapper version on edgy resolves the issue.
I'm trying to investigate this....

New upstream version resolves the issue, so I'm preparing UVF exception request and will close this once uploaded, if approved ;)

any news on this?

Latest package, just uploaded, corrects the issue

I upgraded to edgy yesterday and katapult doesn't show up when I press Alt+space. It doesn't log anything to the console and dcop katapult Katapult showLauncher doesn't make it appear.

No problem on edgy, katapult 0.3.1.3-0ubuntu5 installed.

I have the same problem as Daniel (fresh upgrade from Dapper to Edgy).

Actually, when I do "dcop katapult katapult showLauncher" from the command line, I get "call failed".

I have tried "strace katapult" (attached) and it seems there are files it cannot find.

My last dist-upgrade in edgy has broken katapult (0.3.1.3-0ubuntu5) again after one month without problems, with these issue fixed.

What version did you upgrade from - and what eact issue are you having now ?

I upgraded from 0.3.1.3-0ubuntu4 five days ago. I'm using edgy for some months . Powerpc arch.

The issue it's the same as some months ago when I upgraded to edgy: Alt+Space don't open katapult and when you try to configure it, it crashes (attached backtrace).

It seems that katapult doesn't produce the file ~/.kde/share/config/katapultrc , I've attached my katapultrc who works.

Can people who are having problems try deleting ~/.kde/share/config/katapultrc

and then try restarting katapult?

I've found out why these issues are being caused.... the .desktop files were not updated in the kubuntu package...

I'll create a patch now

current katapult debian package that need updating.

All the above patches are entirely incorrect. The change needed is to fix the typo in kubuntu_01_o2display.diff (katapult_o2display.desktop) s/Id/ID/

Has this been resolved yet? I am guessing it has since Katapult works just fine in Edgy for me.

I know it isn't working for me, i just installed Edgy from scratch.
