Bug Description
Please add support for the LABEL= and UUID= syntax in /etc/fstab.
For example, when pmount is called by HAL and looks for a fstab entry, it should parse /etc/fstab not only for the device node but also for a LABEL= and a UUID= instead. If it finds them, it should chain to mount as well.
This allows removable media to appear at predictable places in the filesystem.

For this to be really useful, probably e2fsprogs bug #1360103 should be fixed e2fsprogs. sourceforge. net/), otherwise the LABEL= and UUID= syntax
first (http://
will not work for encrypted devices.
