I am pleased to announce Gnome15 version 0.0.3, which has now expanded to support the G19 keyboard (requires separate daemon). To support this, most of the drawing of the screens is now done using Cairo and / or SVG theme files.

There are new plugins too. Cairo Clock is a port of the infamous desktop widget, and uses it's themes. The new RSS plugin can show multiple feeds, and allows launching of browser using the extra menu keys. Finally, the Rhythmbox plugin has been replaced with the Media Player plugin, which uses the MPRIS protocol and so supports a number of different players including Rhythmbox, Banshee, Audacious and others.

Finally there are improvements at the web site. An complete tutorial has been written, taking you through the creation of plugins and the associated theme files.

For Ubuntu 10.10, installation is now simple with the Gnome15 PPA. See the site for instructions on installing on other platforms.
