Gnutls is a library that provides Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0 and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 3.0 protocols to client programs. The TLS and SSL protocols provided do not contain US-export controlled algorithms. Also included is limited support for X509 certificates, SRP for TLS authentication and a TLS extension mechanism.
