JACK Box keeps track of tools (such as i.e. zynaddsubfx, rosegarden, hydrogen, ...) which are typically used while performing and producing music.
JACK Box is meant to make life of open-source music producers easier, by saving and loading parameters of tools used, manage their reciprocal interconnections and restore everything with a single-click action (eventually midi-triggerable). All to be done via a smart interface (extensible, mainly by altering xml documents via xslt files), powered by Python, Libglade, GtkMozEmbed, XML, XSLT, and with the support of a non-moderate use of sh scripting.
